By booking onto a Slow Dating event, or registering your details on this web site, you hereby register your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and you further represent and warrant that you have the right, authority and capacity to abide by all the Terms and Conditions. By registering with Slow Dating you provide your assurance that you are at least 18 years old.

At Slow Dating Limited (Slow Dating) our aim as event organisers is to provide an opportunity for single people to meet one another in a safe and relaxed environment. We are not a dating agency or a matchmaking service and we do not verify personal information of those participating at our events. It is your responsibility to verify personal details of others to your own satisfaction. Please treat any contact with participants at one of our events with the same caution that you would do when meeting other people you do not know.

Slow Dating aims to offer participants 15-20 speed dates per event but is unable to guarantee this quantity. Should participants for whatever reason not attend an event, numbers may be slightly decreased. By booking onto an event, you agree that neither Slow Dating or any of its associates are liable for any damages, direct or indirect, that may arise from participating in a Slow Dating event. This includes any damages, without limitation, arising out of communicating with other participants registered with Slow Dating. Such damages include, without limitation, emotional distress and discomfort, physical damages or bodily injury.

Slow Dating events are held at venues which Slow Dating does not own and does not control. Therefore, in the event that you suffer damages of any kind at a Slow Dating event, you agree to release Slow Dating and its associates from any liability with respect thereof. Slow Dating reserves the right to change venue and timings of events.

By booking onto a Slow Dating event or by registering with Slow Dating, you accept that Slow Dating offers an opportunity for meeting new people but that Slow Dating does not guarantee that any participant at an event will successfully match with another participant. Slow Dating does not guarantee that any meeting between participants after one of our events will be successful.

Although it is rare, Slow Dating reserves the right to invite media to attend events, and participation in Slow Dating events is taken as your acceptance that your photo or image may be used within Slow Dating marketing and publicity materials. This includes both online and published media.

Slow Dating Guarantee

At each Slow Dating Speed Dating event, we guarantee that you will meet someone that you would like to see again. If you do not meet someone that you would like to see again you are entitled to attend another Slow Dating event for free. After attending an event, simply enter your ticks as no, and you will be automatically emailed a message detailing how you will be able to claim your free place to a future Slow Dating event. If you tick someone that you would like to see someone again, yet you do not receive any matches, you do not qualify for a free place to a future event. The offer of free future attendance only applies to future events that you have not previously booked and must be taken within six months. We will not issue refunds for places already booked for future events under the guarantee. To qualify for a free booking under the guarantee you must take part in the whole event. If you leave early or do not take part in the event you will not qualify. The guarantee is limited to one free event per paid for event. The guarantee is only available if you do not tick anyone at a speed dating event. It does not apply to parties or other special events.

Please refer to our cancellation policy. Refunds will be only issued in accordance with our cancellation policy.

Although Slow Dating has made every effort to develop a robust fully secure online booking service we disclaim liability for any security issues which occur as a result of using the online booking facility. Pricing Policy

Slow Dating reserves the right to change the price of any event. The price paid at the time of booking may subsequently change in the run up to an event, and no monies can be refunded for any difference. Slow Dating reserves the right to offer discounted prices to selected individuals. Any price change is subject to the supply and demand for a particular event, and we reserve the right to increase the price of an event.

Cancellation Policy

Booking cancellation requests are only accepted by email.

Our cancellation policy is dependent on the time before the event as follows:

Anyone who has booked and paid for a Slow Dating Speed Dating event has the right to cancel at any time by sending an email to requesting a booking cancellation.

We will then refund the amount paid in full, provided the cancellation request is 7 days or more before the event. You will also have the option to transfer to another event at another time, availability permitting, at no additional charge to you.

If the cancellation request is between 3 and 7 days of an event, no refund will be given, however we will do our best to transfer you to another event. You will have the option of transferring to another event, availability permitting, with a £10 administration fee per person. To be fair to everyone else booked onto the event, if the cancellation request is within 3 days of an event, there will be no refund or option to transfer to another event offered.

We will make every effort to hold events at the dates, times and locations specified on our web site. We do reserve the right to cancel and/or change event dates, times and locations although this happens very rarely. In the very unlikely event that circumstances dictate that we do postpone an event, you will be refunded your money in full or offered a transfer to another Slow Dating event of your choice at no additional charge to you. Please note that no additional compensation will be paid.

Confidentiality of Personal Information

Slow Dating understands and respects the importance of your personal information. We treat your name, email address, age and telephone number as confidential information. This information is necessary for us to register you for an event and for us to communicate with you after an event. We store this information on a secure database on a secure server.

We fully comply with UK Data Protection legislation - and we undertake to keep all your personal information confidential and will not sell or provide your personal information to any third parties unless required to do so by law.

By participating in a Slow Dating event, you are giving us permission to forward your first name, email address and depending upon your preference settings a contact phone number to any participants where is a "mutual match". A "mutual match" is where both parties indicate that they would like to be put in contact with one another. We will not forward any of your details to anyone else without your prior permission.

We may use your email address and/or phone number to contact you about upcoming events and announcements that we believe may be of interest to you. At any time, you may opt out of receiving such communications by sending an email to requesting to be unsubscribed from our database.

Privacy Statement

Slow Dating respects and understands the importance of your privacy and will never sell your details to any unrelated third parties.

When registering with Slow Dating, you will be required to provide your email address or other personal information. This information is used for (a) adding you to the Slow Dating mailing list database and/or (b) registering you for a Slow Dating event.

When your information is collected, it will only be used to advise you of upcoming Slow Dating events and for correspondence relating to any events for which you have booked. If you register with Slow Dating your information will be added to our database.

When participating in a Slow Dating event, you are giving us permission to optionally forward your email address, first name and a contact phone number to any participants with whom you "match". A "match" is when both parties score a "yes" for each other, indicating that they would like to be in contact again. We will not forward your email address or other information to any other people in attendance at the event without your prior permission.

We provide Speed Dating events where people can meet one another in a relaxed, safe environment.

We cannot vouch for the marital status, personality or sanity of any participant. It is up to you to clarify these matters to your own satisfaction.

Insofar as Slow Dating does not independently screen participants attending its events, we will not be held liable for any damages, direct or indirect, that may in any way arise out of meeting or communicating with anyone met at a Slow Dating event.
