How Speed Dating Works
When you arrive at the venue you will be greeted by our friendly professional hosts. Once everyone has arrived and received their numbered name badge, score card and pen we will briefly explain the format of the evening and confirm how many people you will be dating. Once the speech is finished the ladies will make their way to the table number that matches their name badge. Once the ladies are seated the guys will follow.
You will have 4 minutes to chat to each date, once the 4 minutes is over we will ring a bell to indicate the time is up. Four minutes is long enough to see if you click with the person you are talking to and whether you would like to see them again and also short enough if you don't.
At the end of each date you have a brief few moments to make some notes on the person you have just dated. This is something to help jog your memory for the post event matching process the next day.
Half way through the event you will have a 15-20 minute break so you can nip to the toilet or top up your drink. Once all the dates are over you have the opportunity to stay on at the venue to mingle freely with others. Please remember to take your score card home with you.
No later than 11am the following morning our sophisticated matching system will be unlocked for you to enter your details. You can tick as many or as little people from the night before. Remember if you don't find anyone suitable and tick them all as a No, we will offer you a free event as part of our guarantee.
Singles After Party
The Singles Party for Summer gathers all local singles for a fun and flirty night!
On arrival, our friendly professional cupids will welcome you, check you in and give you a Lock (for the ladies) or Key (for the guys). The whole idea of a Lock and Key Icebreaker is to encourage you to go up to someone you like and ask if your lock and key are a match. This takes away any awkward conversation and gives you the confidence to speak to people that you normally wouldn’t have the courage to approach in an everyday situation. If you match with anyone throughout the night, head over to cupids corner to be given a new lock/key and another raffle ticket for the prize draw. Remember the more people you talk to the more chance you have of winning some of our fantastic prizes at the end of the night.
So don’t be shy, when you see someone that takes your fancy, simply approach them and ask him or her if you can see if your lock or key are a match. If you match, take as long as you like to flirt and chat, then pop along to the locksmith’s desk where you will be given another raffle ticket and a new lock or key. Then off you go to find more potential matches...
